Dear Participant in 2022 DX Marathon:
First of all I want to thank all of you for participating in the 2022 DX Marathon. You should know that your participation has resulted in a +32% growth in the program in 2022 over that of 2021. The CQ DX Marathon Program is the “fastest” growing DX program in ham radio. Congratulations.
I encourage you to once again participate in 2023 as Cycle 25 keeps getting better and better. We are now verifying all of the submissions and in the June CQ issue, I will publish the final official results. I remind everyone of just a few items as we go into the new calendar year.
1) About the middle part of February, we will be going to a brand new upgraded website. Watch for future announcement just prior to this transition.
2) I encourage every participant to sign up for the Group IO talk group. There are many very interesting discussion that take place on this site that may be of value to you. Go to Group IO and search for “DX Marathon.”
3) Please notice on our website www.dxmarathon.com, a hyperlink that allows you to donate to our efforts. In the middle of the page, you will find “Donate to the DX Marathon- info-here”. Click on the “here”. These funds will allow us to make some exciting changes in our program in CY 2024 in terms of expansion of the program. Some of the enhancements are dependent on your funding. You don’t have to donate a lot, $5 or $10 US is fine. If you belong to a DX Club, your club can also make a donation. Thank you
4) Lastly, in 2023 we are spreading the word out to hams all over the world about DX Marathon. I am doing zoom meetings and if your club has interest and would like a speaker, please contact me at wc3w@dxmarathon.con to schedule a meeting. The meetings I am now doing are received very well and I continue to be surprised at how many DX’ers are not even aware of the DX Marathon program.
